ARTIST STATEMENT I grew up in Mobile, Alabama, and started
drawing at age 3. I've never stopped. I attended
The University of the South in Sewanee, TN and
studied Art and German. Though German has not come in handy, Art has. I've been selling paintings for over fifteen years now.
I've experimented with many different styles trying to find "my voice". Due largely to a move back to the coast of Alabama several years ago, I believe I have found just that. Reflections in water began to fascinate me. It was not just the refraction of light on water, but how the sky and landscape are both reflected and distorted. This has provided me with the opportunity ot combine realism, impressionism and abstract all in the same painting.
